Apparently, it's a clear spark plug that lets you see the flame color. Orange means too rich, blue means just right. I'm not sure what color means too lean, though.

Don't know how you'd look at it under load at full throttle.

I looked nto them some time ago, and as Mclark points out, all you see is no load conditions.
I believe that anyone that has set their own idle mix at least once can tell more by ear, and throttle response.

Cool product, you can see the color of the burn in the chamber.
