Title: Sometimes starter doesn't work

I have a 2003 2-stroke and sometimes the starter doesn't work. The battery seems to be okay and it seems to be delivering power, but when it happens I don't get anything when I hit the starter, not even a click. It goes away after a minute or so.

First thing to check are micro switches behind brake levers that actuate the starter circuitry/brake light.
