Post by: jelawton on May 30, 2015, 12:43:04 PM
These are a few videos testing out different locations on the scooter using GoPro Hero and suction cup mount.

I like the side faring one better. Did you do anything for image stabilization?

Thanks.  I did not and noticed as I increased speed there was less vibration.

Here's a test during a moonlit ride with SA Road Rats 2/6/2015 https://youtu.be/D8j-hSQiAIk (https://youtu.be/D8j-hSQiAIk)

Nice videos!! One pointer, I found out from trial and error: use the non-waterproof back plate, the sound is much, much better. And it actually has less wind noise, kind of counterintuitive. I love the GoPro, and I agree with Wayne about the side cam.

Thanks for the tip and I'll give it a try.

Took the advice and changed the door, huge difference! Thank you.   This time though it's from the viewpoint of my wife riding shotgun as we headed out Cora's Grill off 471.  Had some of their famous nachos and apple cobbler. Took some doing to get her to ride though 13 years since the last time she rode with me.  Doesn't trust the drivers here.

New mounting location on scooter will post picture of it next.  This was a ride we did today follow Hwy 16 to Bandera then taking FM 37 to Medina Lake.  Great ride.
