Title: Need a little help with the Super 9 50cc LC!
Post by: hCornellier on April 29, 2015, 06:05:37 PM
Hey guys, I own a Super 9 50cc Liquid Cooled. This spring I took it out of winter storage, and the scooter had some starting problems after a few uses. Turns out I have some electrical problems; the cdi box and the stator need to be replaced.

I searched everywhere on the internet and found some aftermarket CDI boxes and a stator.

However, there are concerns with them:

Here's the CDI box I found on ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNRESTRICTED-CDi-for-KYMCO-Spacer-Yager-Cobra-50cc-People-Super-9-LC-Topboy-/181719400487?hash=item2a4f520027 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNRESTRICTED-CDi-for-KYMCO-Spacer-Yager-Cobra-50cc-People-Super-9-LC-Topboy-/181719400487?hash=item2a4f520027)

And here's the stator I found:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/STATOR-GENERATOR-for-KYMCO-Super-9-AC-50-Sports-Vitality-50-2-stro-YUP-50-/181264910011 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/STATOR-GENERATOR-for-KYMCO-Super-9-AC-50-Sports-Vitality-50-2-stro-YUP-50-/181264910011)

The CDI box says that it won't work with American or Canadian versions. Mine is Canadian. Is this accurate? Is there really a difference in CDI boxes? Or do you guys think it'll work fine? Also, the Stator Generator says that it's only for air-cooled models. Are the stators the same for AC and LC models or no?

If these parts won't work with my Canadian Super 9 50cc LC scooter, then do you guys know where I can order these parts? I've searched everywhere.
