Title: Kymco 125 cranking issues
Post by: Hawkbird on April 13, 2015, 06:20:04 AM
I have a 2011 kmyco 125. It fires right up sometimes and runs beautiful, but at times it will turn over and won't crank or will cutout and go dead, then won't crank. I put a new carb same results, I'm thinking maybe something electrical, I checked spark good there too. Any suggestions has about 350 miles on it out of warranty.:(

Just a thought and a simple one. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the CDI and see if the issue goes away.

Do the lights and turn signals work? If not when the crank won't turn then it may be a battery issue. It also sounds like your starter motor could be deficient but thats unlikely if you only have 350 miles on it.
