Title: Servicing a Kymco
Post by: Going Downtown on April 05, 2015, 01:37:44 AM
The dealer where I purchased my Downtown no longer sells Kymcos and now says they dont service them.  I'm concerned now, can any motorcycle service dept service them.  I looked up places that sell Kymcos and not any close to me.  My bike is 2013 and has very little miles on it and will be due for service soon. Im worried I can't find anyone to service it, can anyone service them?

try a kawasaki dealer and tell them it is a J 300,   or take it to a honda dealer,   good luck

I actually noticed a Honda dealer not too far from me sells Kymcos, why did you suggest Honda dealers?  Is it the same engine? Thanks for your help.

Honda was part of kymco for 46 years before kymco went on its own,  kymco built and suppled parts for honda,  thats why kymco is so good,.

You know what.... I'd give these guys an email telling them about your situation, and see what they advise. They are VERY interested in keeping a good reputation with customers. I've used them a couple of times and they have been very helpful - even sicked the area KYMCO service advisor onto my dealer to light a fire under them regarding a warranty issue - which was then quickly fixed!
