Any of you guys run larger tires? It's time for me to buy some new ones.
I'm thinking of changing out the front 120/70-12 to a 130/70-12 to match the rear tire.
Thoughts?

I wondered about the same actually but I have never seen or tried it.

No need to go bigger in front, it'll make the bike steer heavy. Your can although go to a140/70-12 in the back, it's a squeeze but I've done it.

Just spoke two techs about this yesterday.
A wider tire on stock rim decreases the tires contact patch with the road.
Rider probably will not notice the slight difference....until pressing very hard in a corner.
Think what happens to the contact area when you pinch the tire rims together.
See what happens?:-)
Now a wider wheel rim is a whole 'nather story!!!
,A wider tire on a wider rim increases the contact with the road.....but can offer up ither issues on that bike.
Made sense to me.

This is 100% correct, but sometimes it's just "cool" to put a larger tire on the back haha.

I just recently ordered new tires as well. After a bit of research I didn't find any info on putting a bigger tire on the rear rim, so I just went with stock sizes.

Thanks everyone. :)
