This is just from my experience, there a few here that work and own garages that can correct me or guide you better.

Malossi Purprle Contra Spring

8 Gm Dr Pulley Sliders (I use 7 Gm and like them but 7 Gm could be causing the bike to rev too much and I probably wouldn't know). I do a lot of hills here in Connecticut.

85 main jet - higher is suggested if removing airbox snorkel but Im using the #85  and plan on removing the head soon to inspect the piston once I locate a head gasket to see if Im doing any harm to the piston. Looking in the spark plug hole with a flashlight I see the top of the piston is all black and sooty with a small white spot in the middle. I dont know if Im too rich or too lean. Right now Im having trouble finding a simple head gasket in the USA. Racingplanet has them but last time took over a month to get a simple part.

Id like to upgrade my clutch springs and not sure what to get my self.

Remove the brass cap and get that idle air adjuster screw slotted or use a D-socket so you can fine tune the carb.

Check out this exhaust for performance : http://www.scrappydogscooters.com/Kymco_Scooter_Parts.html (http://www.scrappydogscooters.com/Kymco_Scooter_Parts.html)

I dont have a pic right now; but on the carb facing out, you can find a small what looks like a smooth brass plug or cap. There are some youtubes on how to remove these to expose the hidden air idle screw. Yes you can ruin things so you have to be care full. Sometime they can be easily popped out by a real thin stiff blade.

Once exposed you'll see a D-shaped screw and you can buy a socket for the screw or remove the crew with a thin pair of needle nose pliers and cut a slot in the crew for future access with a screw driver. They can be called EPA caps.

You have to be careful doing this; obviously. Some find, that on inspection, the idle air screw is not set right at the factory. Access to the screw may also give you away to adjust the lean-rich setting on the scooter for a certain jet size or to find a nice sweet spot in the scooters idling.

I did chew mine up a bit with a dremel cutter while cutting the slot; but it turns with a fat screw driver head.

I just want to add that while doing some of these mods, the risk is mainly on the bike owner. Someone came on the forum little while back mad at people because he messed up his mods and was blaming our faithful helpers here on the forum.

These mods are what have worked for me and others in the past and everyones experience as it turns out can be different and unexpected.

There are some people out there that shouldn't be holding a screwdriver; and that poster was probably one of them.

well, the difference is so great i'm astonished. It accelerates like a fking lighting bolt and will do over 40 mph on flats. Hills are no threat even when driving with a passenger. I dont feel like doing anything more cuz it moves so well now.

Who am i kidding, if you have some ideas i might try them out.

Thats nice to see the exhaust less restricted out of the box or did you have to do some derestricting on it.

So what have you done so far.

Why dont you edit your profile and list your mods and what performance your getting etc.

I'm thinking of getting the same thing for my super 8.  I'm glad it makes such a difference for you. if you de restricted it yourself , would you mind detailing how you did it? thanks.

Yea Thats about right in line with my scooter. Im 42-43 tops in summer on the flats.

Conclusion: Naraku Traffic Exhaust unrestricted has about the same performance as the stock exhaust with a cut and weld de-restriction.

Thats good news because you increased performance with a street legal exhaust and no alteration of the exhaust was done.

If you haven't   upgraded your carb yet you can get a 17.5 mm on ebay identical to the oem carb. $25.00 plus a  20 mm intake on ebay from .scooter assassin for like $54.00  it is actually  from kymco they just sell them and it really woke up my 70cc bbk it runs so much smoother now.
