I want to improve on my stock pipe but would prefer to remain stealthish. Is this pipe worth it?

There is a thread already about that exhaust. I believe there is a restriction on it.
Waiting for someone to give you a better answer than I can.

The description says that when derestricted it is great. I wonder how easy it is to get to the plate in the manifold... I don't really want a shiny, noisy pipe right yet. At least for my super9

Yeah, that's an easy one. I wonder how much better it is then my drilled out and derestricted stock pipe. I'm enjoying the fat tone it's got right now. And I've got decent performance.

Don't know, but don't think Naraku Traffic significantly better than good stock pipe, but would be better than one with restrictions.
I know from reading People 50 mods (any posts by Art have lots of good info, if you get a chance to read them) that earlier pipes before certain year, maybe 2005 and before don't have restrictions and work very well. I have 2005 People 50 and it's pipe doesn't have any extras on it, didn't have to do anything to it, and seems to work great, especially from dead start at red lights I always jump the cars.
I have Tecnigas Next R I will be putting on People 50 and will be interesting how much it improves, if any over stock pipe. The People 50 with stock pipe is actually better at takeoff than Super 9 with Tecnigas pipe, but Super 9 has more on top end for sure, I think makes more HP but less torque than stock pipe. I will be trying pod air filter too, to see how much that helps, but so far main difference is a lot louder!!! Maybe a good stock pipe and pod air filter is a good way to go?
I had the chance not long ago to pickup good stock pipe on ebay for approx $100 and didn't get it, wish I had it now. Cheers

What are you using for a jet or jets with the pod filter ?

With the pod filter, I haven't sorted that out yet, but could tell it was too lean with 35 idle jet and 95 main jet.
I plan to try the pod filter on my People 50, but 1st have to get tires changed on Super 9 (this is a project, almost gave up but got front on OK, with some scratches on the wheel, so ordered some better tires irons, waiting on them before tackling rear). Long story, seems to takes me awhile to do anything, so will be awhile before I try the pod filter and rejet the carb.
I did buy some jets, have 35 and 38 idle jets, and 78 to 105 various sizes main jets, so should be able to dial it in once I get around to it.

In the second picture on racing planet out showed the restriction plate. Just cut it out with a dremel.

Maybe after cutting it out, give it a good round filing and maybe to the point you can get everything smooth with emery cloth. Thats it make it as transparent as possible if you feel the exhaust will ever be inspected.

since I can't do it myself, its probably a better idea to go and ask the shop guy if he can do it before ordering it. what if I was getting something like the tecnigas-R or something, would that require a removal of a restriction as well?

Ha! I just attempted to put new tires on my s9. Got the old front off and one side of the new one on before giving up, almost an hour of cursing. I took them to the used tire shop ran by some nice Hispanic gentlemen. They did it, with great struggle and only charges $20. I forced them to take thirty for the hassle.

First of all Kimura let me ask, would you feel you would be dangerous using a dremel tool. You can hurt yourself bad misusing those or do you not have a place to use one as they are noisy and throw out a lot of sparks?
The Technigas has an expansion chamber and that makes a lot of difference for gaining performance with a 2-stroke I believe.
The Nark, IMO or guess, de-restricted would be similar to the stock cut and weld in performance as I dont see it having a chamber.
I think a carb upgrade would also be wise to get the most out of your setup as you do seem to have a confirmed successful BBK upgrade.
Now if you got this Kymco ultra performance exhaust here http://www.scrappydogscooters.com/Kymco_Scooter_Parts.html (http://www.scrappydogscooters.com/Kymco_Scooter_Parts.html) it would serve 2 purposes:
1) It will increase performance
2) If you break down in Middle Earth with an army of orcs bearing down on you, you can quickly remove it and use it as a horn to summon an army of elves to help you or maybe even an army of zombies will take care of those orcs.

Im only really good at one thing and thats not using tools! i don't even have a dermmel though.
I still haven't been to the shop to ask, i will update when i do.

On removing the exhaust restrictor, there is vid on how to de-restrict Genuine 50cc 2T, and the guy just pops out the washer with a pair of pliers. Then, I guess you could smooth it up with a round hand file. I looked for vid, but couldn't find it again. Cheers
