Hi all,
I found that amazing kymco forum. Says Hi to all.
Does anyone know what is the correct amount of the oil in the gear box of Kymco Agility City 125? There are two different informations in service manual:
- once it says I should fill the oil to the oil check bolt hole
- it also stays that the correct amount of the oil (at change) is 0,18 l
I suppose it would be required to fill about 0,5 liter to see the oil in a oil check bolt hole.
I think that service manual has not been updated and valid amount is 0.18 and the rule 1 apply only to old scooters. My is new (2015) bought in Poland.
I would be grateful if someone knows if I am correct.
My scooter drain bolts are placed like on this picture: http://i57.tinypic.com/2usfvh1.jpg (http://i57.tinypic.com/2usfvh1.jpg)

I don't understand the numbers your posting.
The motor oil is about .8L on a change and you will measure at the end by the dip stick.
The gear oil on a 125cc holds .2L and it will overflow if you put too much in.
Your picture is correct.

Thx for reply Vision.
I know about the engine.
The problem is with the gear box. Once they say in service manual (english version) that it containt 0,18 l (in case of replacement, 0,2 that you mentioned is for new vehicle). In polish version of service manual there stay 0,19 l and they also say (in both versions) that user should fill the gear box up to the filling hole (the top one I marked on the picture) which would take like 0,5 l. The service manual has important bug I think (I contacted kymco to correct that).

I've never seen commas used for decimal numbers so I'm slightly confused.
But yes, the manuals are terrible. I've never heard of .5L being put in the gear box and it wouldn't fit.
I fill a syringe with .2L of oil and get it all (or almost all) in before any back flow.
Does this answer your question?

The correct amount is.18l or 180cc
-
0.18l every 6000km. If you put more it will end up in your airbox through the breather hole.
Buy a syringe that fits in the filler hole, it makes the filling process simple.
Do a few km before you change the oil. It will heat up and drain faster and easier.

Thanks for your help. Finally I removed the oil and filled again exactly 0.18 l.
Sorry for comma separated decimal numbers - we use comma in Poland :)
-
Well sorry for not knowing about the commas and not remembering gear only is only 180cc for refill.

What kind of gear oil did you use? I used yamalube same 90 outboard gearoil in my agility city. 200mli replaced exactly. When I changed that oil for the first time it was green and full of particulates.
