Title: Down and Out
Post by: Scootaloot on March 03, 2015, 12:22:52 AM
Couple weeks back scoot died in a heart beat while running at 60mph. I haven't been motivated to open her up with the fine weather of late. The nearly mile push took a few days to recover from alone ;). I looked up underneath her briefly today hoping to see the plug boot off or broken but not my luck. Nothing is leaking and fluid levels are ok. Starter cranks but no fire. Hoping for some thoughts from Zombie. Going to check for spark and fuel first. Stator? Broken timing chain. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Odo is between 44-45k.

I stopped to help a broke down biker on the Ohio Turnpike once. Turn out he had accidently bumper the kill switch into the off position. Did it myself a couple times off road riding.

Sounds like your battery. Happened to me also. Pulled my hair outta my head wondering the problem. It will crank, lights will work, fuel pump will work, and everything else will seem fine. Just not enough voltage for that coil.
