Today I tried to start up the bike to head into work and when I turned the bike on, all the lights during the pre-check turned on, but the engine light did not. I couldn't even hear the small noise the bike makes when you turn it on and the engine turns over.
I tried to start it up as usual, but nothing happened.
The rest of the bike was up (lights and so forth) but the engine did nothing even after I flipped the switch and hit the ignition button.
Turned bike off, waited a few minutes and tried again.
Engine light remained off and again no sound showing the engine was turning over.
Anyone know what's going on?
Any help is appreciated

I will go check mine but is the run stop switch In the run position?

No. It wasn't. I usually don't try and hit the switch to run until after all the lights poof on and I hear the engine noise when I first turn the bike on.

This event only occurs in two occasions ,either the side stand is down or the kill switch is off.

I do not remember the kickstand being down this morning as I usually keep it on the center stand, but I will take a look when I get home from work.
If this is the case....well I will feel like a doofus and will apologize to you all for wasting your time. -.-''

did that last year must of touched the switch when I moved the scoot out the garage, first thought was did I leave the ignition on all night, and run the battery dead, then checked everything, and it started, whooo!!!!

You will NOT be the first doofus on here nor will you be the last! The tough part is gettin' fooled by doing it again! And again you won't be the first on that, either!

My sincerest apologies to all here....
I was a doofus. The kickstand was the issue. It wasn't entirely up and...well...yeah....the bike had a good laugh at me and a rest from driving to work.
And here I was scolding her for not starting...
I had to go back and apologize.
