Hi everyone. I hope I'm not giving anyone a headache. My height is about 5'9" and I weigh 233 pounds in my birthday suit. My wife is 5'2" and she weights 110 pounds. Do any of you have suggestions of things that may help us or be more comfortable? Is this to much weight for the Downtown 300i? I sure hope not. We will also have luggage in hard top box and saddle bags. Can you tell me what the maximum weight is that the DT300i can carry? Thank you for your help. Ride safe.

You are not over-loading it, but depending what and where you want to ride you may do a few test-rides first, and put the pre-load of the spring on shock absorbers to maximum. If it "bottoms out" over bumps you need to definitely go to heavier duty rear Shock absorbers. I t

You may also want to see how your wife fits with saddlebags. It cuts into the passenger seating position.
