Title: Old tires

What would you suggest I do with these old scooter tires? These came off the Yager, Like and DT300i.

I know here in KC you have to have them disposed of in some special way. I'd call a local car or motorcycle shop and see if they will take them.

Local waste management here will take up to 15 for no extra charge. We take 15 at a time with our normal dump run stuff. You can put them in the regular trash pickup here, don't know if that's kosher or not but if I have one or two I'll do that at home. There's always the river, that's free!

Here in central New York (Syracuse) they don't take tires in the trash. You have to take them to the Resource Recovery Site. They charge about $3.00 for automobile tires. I don't know if smaller tires would be cheaper or not.

Karl, I know Worm Ranching didn't take off like we all thought it would....but you've a great chance here to get in on the ground floor of something even better!
Spread these tires out in your back yard and let the rains blow into them....by mid summer you will be able to impress your neighbors with your new Skeeter Farming venture!
I heard the late Paul Harvey say it is sure to be the Next Big Thing!
I only have my 2 old Kendas out there....a little truck farm so to speak.

Thanks, guys especially Stig for the Skeeter Farm idea! I think the locals here want $5/tire regardless of size. I'm thinking sooty marshmallows are the most workable.....

The BIG DEAL here is I got a picture into the text space all by myself! Had to crop the GoPro still picture a bunch to get under 192 kb.
