Title: Solution Rear view mirror problem Xciting 500, 2005 - 2006

One month ago I bought a Xciting 500, 2006.
I noticed that the rear view via the mirrors were terrible. As written “I could only see  my hands”. Except the mirrors I think it is a great bike.

I have made wedges (hard wood like oak or aluminium) which I have put between the chassis and the mirror arms foothold, which are easy to dismount. Go to page 45 in  Xciting 500 Service Manual ENG (http://www.scribd.com/doc/13244097/Xciting-500-Service-Manual-EN#key1xte40xmwk521yydqs2v)

This lowers the mirrors downwards and the rear view passes under the handles.
In addition to this I had to skew drill the two holes (be careful, skew in rigt direction) in the mirror arms foothold and replace one of the two 8 mm screws to longer ones on both sides of the MC.

On request I can mail a file with a home made drawing (was not able to insert this file here).
