Title: remove buddy seat?
Post by: chaz35 on December 18, 2014, 04:09:13 PM
I have 2005 People 50 with buddy seat option.  I think scooter looks cooler without the buddy seat, so I want to remove it.  I have looked but don't see the fitting that remounts the carrier rack without the buddy seat.  Anyone know where I can get that part, or some other good way to mount it.  It looks like all I really need is 3 spacers, but would just as well get the OEM part if I can find it.  Cheers

There is an OEM bracket that goes under the stock rack configuration. I'm getting back to work Tuesday pm me and I'll send one out as long as you cover shipping.

I need one of those 49cc efi engines... I'll send an envelope for shipping. Just tape the envelope to the engine, and drop it in the post for me.

Love ya better...

Yeah I wish Kymco sold crate motors, I've only been able to get one engine from them and that was out of a demo bike for warranty work. You could build a screamer out of those 3v engines. I'm sure they have bbk in Taiwan for it.

I found the long bolts <allensfasteners.com> for approx $10.  Had to cut them to length and mounted it up, looks great.  Thanks Bettin

Don't have crate engine, but about 300 miles form here on CL there is project People 50 for $100.  If it wasn't so far I would go get it.  Cheers

That's just the way I like them.
My ZX was in the same shape when I bought it 6 years ago.

For $100 it would be great for spares?  I have been reading Art's old posts, I think he may see the beauty.  Cheers

You'd have the beginning of a Rat Dynasty. People forks/dick brake on your China crapper. 16" front wheel/10" rear... Nice as all get out. Maybe swap the engines down the road.

I am feeling better I didn't go get it.  I am a sucker for good deals and have a fair amount of junk to prove it.  Cheers

LOL... Same here. I have one junker left in the side yard. It belonged to a local singer /radio Celeb. gal.
I plan to hold a bar auction this summer w/ some friends, and I am curious as to what I can get for just her seat? :o
