Title: What Happened to Kymco USA Line-Up?
Post by: MassScoot on December 12, 2014, 03:19:59 PM
Hi All: I haven't hit these boards in a while. Broke my arm this summer (non-related scooter accident) & haven't really used my GT300i @ all. I checked on Kymco's USA website & they only have 8 models now?

I also noticed no GT300i in Silver anymore. No Super 8 150? What the hell is going on with Kymco USA these days? Any insight people?

Alex

They screwed the pooch. It's gone downhill ever since Mr. Lee took over kymco USA had proved to not know what the US market wants.

Thanks guys. I'm simply stunned that Kymco has gone downhill with so few models. Not having the Super 8 150 is simply INSANE! I owned one for about 18 months & really liked it. I decided to buy a SYM HD200 to replace it @ my mothers home in Florida (big upgrade) Makes no sense in their marketing thoughts IMHO. Too bad, because I love my GT300i, but they need to bring in different colors. That Orange/Gold is hideous looking.

My understanding is that they will have the super 8, that's what our regional rep said. But yeah they are not making the best decorations l decisions in the model aspect. There's only so much they can do, and right now they are trying to build their offroad brand. It's sad when you look at Kymco global their lineup is gangster, and if it were up to me I'd have so many of those in the USA lineup.

Not having the Super 8 is simply insane. I'm sure they'll bring it back (they have to) Too be honest, the S8 150cc @ $2500.00 is getting very long in the tooth for the money. I liked mine well enough, but once I paid $700.00 more for the SYM HD200 it was "game over"
