Here in CT we have some reasonable storage centers that are offering 5' x 5' units for $36/month. I may want to go this route rather than an outside cover for the winter.
The scooter is listed though a ~6.25' long. Is there a way to like store this bike on an angle to to get it to fit in a 5 x 5 unit ?
Edited. I guess I can store the bike maybe corner to corner. The corner to corner dimension should then be 7 ft. I;ll have to go and just take a look.

I would store in on the center stand only.

It should fit corner to corner, plus turning the wheel will save you a few inches. $36 a month is cheap with an outside access door. Checked into that here and cheapest I could find was about $100 a month, that's too pricey. Luckily my condo hoa lets me keep it in a shed on the property.

What do you gain by inside storage? It will still be ice cold, there is no heat unless stated as such. Why spend $36 PM (at least $100) when you gain almost nothing. That $100 gets you a new cover or maybe a tune up come spring. Just my opinion.

Is this thread real?
Hibernate it. Dig a hole, and bury it till spring. You might want to add some KimChi too.

I will toss it in the peat bog and have it retrieved in a 1000 years fully preserved.

You trumped us all sir! Well played.
That will also save you $432,000.00 @ 36.00 per month. It'll buy a lot of KimChi!

You guys must have really small living rooms.

That's where I kept mine when I lived in Lanark Village.
Lots of Section 8 moms w/ kids that will never make it into their 20's.

Bring in the house and use as furnature.

Mine was the Kitty Condo. A place to escape the dogs.
And, much like you, and B&L, I would sit on it making those vrooooomm noises. Sadly, it was the Only time I was really happy. :'( :'( :'(

You could buy a elec.blanket for the winter time to keep it worm. Only thing to worry about is the elec. Bill.

You know, I've heard that electric blankets use very, very little electricity.
I used to heat cats thru the winter with one.
(what, I was going to let a stray freeze just because I don't like cats?)

im not jokeing about the elec blanket sounds unsafe but it works helps my scoot start up every morning.when its not to cold out I leave a 75 wt light next to the motor and that helps to.
