Title: CDI question...
Post by: vicfromny on October 23, 2014, 12:15:28 AM
Forgive me since I know there are numerous posts about cutting the CDI casing.
I have a 2014 Agility 50 and don't really want to butcher it. Can anyone tell me what wire I can remove from the molex plug, thereby eliminating it from the CDI????? In other words what color or what function I may find on wiring diagram.
Thanks in advance!
Vic from ny

There is no wire on the outside to cut.
It has to be done as shown on the posts. cut the end of the CDI to reveal the wire, then epoxy it back shut

Thanks. I cut my CDI,....not much difference, so I guess next steps are to change the boss in the Variator and install lighter rollers???After that do I still need to change the jet (larger) on my carb???This is what I've read so far. AND ,THANKS for members' patience with newbies!

you got it exactly right. De-restricted boss, 5.5 - 6gr rollers 7 - 8 gr Dr pulley sliders, and a red or purple Malossi contra spring.
You don't HAVE to swap the main jet but every little bit helps on these tiny engines.

Patience is all we have.
