Personally I'm amused by all the media scare tactics over this. They have the masses convinced that if they even look at someone with ebola they will get it, when in fact it is harder to catch than the flu, a cold or most other diseases. It is spread through infected body fluids, but to listen to hype you would think that a F-22 couldn't out run it.

The african people do eat monkeys. It's plainly sold/served as "Bush Meat".
One of the countries there in West Africa declared a ban on bush meat in an attempt to stall the spread of the virus but has discovered it is mutating, and their choice of meat is no longer the issue.
It is a Hygiene/sanitation issue. More over the people there actively harass the afflicted, throwing them into the street to die. The street remaing lethal, and any/all traffic coming in contact will in turn spread the disease.

No, no, NO, people! This is one of the facets of a biological attack. Either that or it is one of the bugs that either got loose or was turned loose by the CDC/Military Industrial Complex. AIDS, a completely man-made immune system destroyer was developed for the military in the late 50's early 60's. That bug was deployed in Africa to kill the inhabitants so the Rothchild cronies could swoop the riches of that country. Now ebola has been turned loose to do the same thing but more effectively. Wanna hear something really scary. TIME magazine chose the two youngest Kardashian/Jenner sisters as two of the top 25 influential teens. Now that's the beginning of an epidemic. First things first......if you want to stop the scare tactic....TURN OFF THE 24 HRS/DAY NEWS. That brain washing is too much for anyone. Next, Zombie starts to build an arc while the rest of us gather up all the beautiful people. (which probably means that all of us are not included) We need to do this wisely. Beauty is only skin deep. I personally think that we should ask Oprah...she is an expert on everything. We meet at Zombies' place for one last knock down drag out party. We help him roll up and re-lube his new home and try to re-package it...just in case a non-beautiful person sneaks on board (or if it's after 2:00AM). We then set sail for some tropical island in the Pacific. We'll wait a few months until the smoke clears and then return home. By then the world will be on to something new AND the 2015's should be available. I don't want to make light of a very serious matter...but sometimes we need to. And if anything good came out of this, at least it ended the NFL/ Ray Rice domestic violence coverage. We need to start discussing our list of "beautiful people".

No, thank you.
My wife is from those countries threatened by Ebola and in contrast to previous years, she now doesn't wan't to spend vacations there. Regular phone calls are enough to know how our relatives feel in the moment.
Of course there may be people think they'd know much more about Africa than African natives living in Africa for a lifetime. Yet these know-alls struggle to find Africa on the globe!

You are obviously an intelligent person so let me state this Ebola scenario as compared to an outbreak of malware on the WWW.
I am a Computer Tech and IT guy, own my own Hi-tech business and work many. many hours daily on INFECTED computers of all kinds and see it all.
Computer Malware, let's say starts at ground zero by a conscious decision by someone to purposely spread the 'VIRUS' to as many computer's as possible, for monetary gain usually or for bragging rights within the perverted 'hacker' community, fun, or even as we know, a form of technological terrorism with it's vast ramifications. Let's briefly look at the exponential spread of a computer malware program and just ponder the spread and growth and equate it somewhat with the Ebola outbreak that is spreading right now:
I, innocently and inadvertently, send you an infected link, email attachment or a picture and you 'open' it up not knowing as I didn't that imbedded in the communication was malware, some benign and some cancerous! I also sent it to say, 20 other people, you being one of those and the 20 people sent it to 20 others and so on and so on. The 'growth' of this infection can and is staggering in the potential numbers involved.
Remember, that some of this malicious Malware hides itself deeply within the operating system, to do all kinds of 'evil' in the background, unlike some that make their selves known immediately showing pop-ups and all kinds of programs that take over the user's computers. The later is normally 'easy' by comparison to eliminate. (Heal)
Ebola isn't normally readily and immediately apparent in infected people and so, like a computer virus, it can spread the same way, exponentially with rapidly growing numbers. Lots of infected people have been released into the general population out of ignorance (or maybe design!!!) and they will or may infect others. We need to think about the incubation period from initial contact and use mandatory physical restraint as an attempt to stop this terrible disease/ virus.
I remember a story about a man that went to work for another person and was told that the employer couldn't afford to pay a livable wage. The man said it was okay and said he'd settle for 1 cent per hour for the first day but it would DOUBLE each day after that as in 2 cents per hour the next day and 4 cents per hour the next day and so on and so on. The employer agreed:): Do the math yourself for the fun of it and see how much the man was making by the end of the month:)
The above story is meant to show how this Ebola thing can escalate very easily with terrible effects.
I won't at this time get into the political realm of why this situation is treated so lightly by this Administration but I was flabbergasted to see that Obummer appointed an Ebola Czar (Czar-Russian) with absolutely no medical experience but he is a Lawyer and a loyal Obummer supporter:)

You are 100000000000000000% correct in comparing to computer viruses. I play w/ them all day. My friends write code, and we swap these codes to sere which programs can "catch" them".
Instant, or "cloud" anti virus software is a frigging joke. The entire WQERB based community is a guinea pig. Every piece of code written is based on the honor system.
Google learned from the German group, and you Know who I mean. We are ALL at the mercy of info collectors. As a programmer you can clearly state more facts than I have. As a individual computer user I can explain the measures I take to avoid the risks.
I have explained what I do here, and have had posts deleted due to people that don't realize what an individual can do.
I'll say it once again... Media Com attempted to route my traffic thru CIS. I use anti MAC spoofing software that detected this.
Long story short I used common software available on the WEB to crack CIS's system to donate 1.75 MILLION frequent flayer miles to Angel Flight.
i posted this here, and on several other forums. Guess what? I am still posting, and CIS has never showed up on my MAC address.
Now let's get to Ebola.

Now let's have some more fun. I posted about my daughter and her school. Now I am going to show how small the Metroplex (Fort Worth Dallas area). Yesterday, I was at a client site. A guy that works there informed me that on Sunday he was watching Dallas Cowboys with a friend. That friend's girl friend was partying and allegedly doing adult beverage shots with Nina Pham at a club the day before she ended up in the hospital.
My, my what a small world it is and let's see how everything plays out.

Don't see much of this on the news..... Lucky few states that don't have human infection, but it's pretty much the whole damn country. There is no "cure"for west Nile. Don't take me wrong there is a threat from Ebola, but that threat comes from our government activating martial law because of an"outbreak". The scare tactics are there to make people feel ok with losing rights to be "protected", slowly at first then they go into full martial law. Allo had it exactly right, were about a million times more likely to die on our scooters every day than from Ebola, and i don't think it will spread like wildfire in the USA. In Africa they were WASHING THEIR DEAD RELATIVES THAT DIED FROM EBOLA!!!!! Horrible sanitary conditions, and little knowledge or concept of contagious organisms. Feces on the streets and water system. No means of isolating themselves aka run for the hills. Have we seen even ONE person that was on contract with that African dude other than nurses get Ebola? Have we seen even one person that was in contact with the nurses get Ebola? No and no. bettinandlosing, you may be right that this could be a good reason for King Obummer to declare martial law and take over society.
The reason that this disease has played itself out in the past is because it kills everyone in it's path---or most everyone. You quarantine a village, no one in or out and everyone dies--end of problem in that village.
So as not to offend any AFRICAN, Moslem folks (We know Obummer) and maybe ruin their non-existent economies (Obummer view) we just let them fly in and out of the US, originally and didn't originally quarantine people.
Maybe now we know why FEMA prison camps have been set up, with hundreds of thousand of body bags/ coffins and millions of rounds of ammunition have been purchased by the Obummer government, to maybe stop civil unrest from possibly martial law.

Unless somehow contained, this infection could easily spread and this inept government won't or hasn't taken control of things like lots of other countries have done.
bettinandlosing, you may be right that this could be a good reason for King Obummer to declare martial law and take over society.
The reason that this disease has played itself out in the past is because it kills everyone in it's path---or most everyone. You quarantine a village, no one in or out and everyone dies--end of problem in that village.
So as not to offend any AFRICAN, Moslem folks (We know Obummer) and maybe ruin their non-existent economies (Obummer view) we just let them fly in and out of the US, originally and didn't originally quarantine people.
Maybe now we know why FEMA prison camps have been set up, with hundreds of thousand of body bags/ coffins and millions of rounds of ammunition have been purchased by the Obummer government, to maybe stop civil unrest from possibly martial law.

I don't think it would matter who was in the position of POTUS . We,obviously , can tell you do not like "Obummer" , but- Dubya and his Cronies (Cheney , etc. ) would have already had "Boots on the ground" here in the U.S. and we would, ALREADY , be under quarantine and Military rule ( so glad they started this Totalitarian type Country we, now , live in ) .
Is that what people feel should be the case ?
