Got a trike kit for wife's new People GTi300. Now before some of you start, remember that some of us are on scooters since we have trouble holding up "real motorcycles." Some GoldWing and Harley riders have these "training wheels" just so they can continue to ride.
The kit is first rate, solid, well painted with first rate fiberglas fenders. It has first rate grade-8 and 8.8 hardware. It does have a couple of warts, however. The rear bracket, that is model specific, is welded off-center and off-square. The fenders have holes drilled for mounting that are slightly out of position. The thing that really gripes me is they won't listen. Sorta like Kymco dealers. My e-mail has so far been ignored. I figure for $3000+ stuff should fit.
Dear Wife loves the thing, warts and all. She is now cooking up reasons to ride! Like going to Memphis to show off to the dealer and get some winter riding gear! What ever works, right?

PS: the extra weight does not seem to affect mileage since the last tank was 77+ mpg!

Good the weight is not affecting mileage, on the other hand I understand what you are saying but she's happy, that is the important part.

Ship weight between 235 and 250 pounds. Estimating about 200 lbs for the kit installed. Pictures may or may not be posted since I am stone-age and seem to have an all day project when I try to post. Meanwhile, I suggest you Google Tow-Pac and hit the picture pile that seems to pop up with any search.

I understand you Pict. issue. I hate posting Picts. myself. By the time you Up load, re-size, download them it's almost dark out.
200lbs is about the weight of the bike! I'm really surprised at by your mileage findings. I guess you should be happy, and I should be happy for you.

Yeah, Zomb, 200 lbs is a bit much since there would be a way to lighten this thing up. However, these guys are into simple and easy to build plus I think it is nearly bullet-proof and like TLRam1 said, she's happy I am delerious.

Pics came through great you ole fart, never too late to teach an old dog new tricks see? That's cool as heck, never seen a scooter trike before. On the piece that's boogered up just take it to a welder and have them make a square one, safety 1st remember. It's for the wifey, no short cuts. Some times it's just easier to gether done then messing with a warranty from a crappy company. Shouldn't cost too much.

Either forgot to tell y'all or posted it somewhere else, the Tow-Pac gang made good on the crummy piece. Made a new one, square, centered and all! Even footed the shipping!

Ok , trike scooter question...was looking at one on a Majesty at the Honda dealer...do all 3 rear tires touch at the same time?
Also, some scooter tire treads have "mileage" centers, and "gripper/cornering" edges.....does that sort of thing compromise the grip of the front tire, since it never can lean?
Does it tend to understeer....."push" in corners?

Yeah, they do, Stig- all three touch at the same time. There is plenty of outrigger wheel travel down to keep all three in some contact on uneven ground. It does not "push" in corners, just steers kinda hard with lots of feedback or tendency to center. Definitely not as light when leaning. I don't think it changes the front traction as you can still get the front to "howl" on braking just before wheel loc-up.

with the tryc set up you could try car tires on the scooter, rear end only,. just thinking???
