Anyone jumping on these low prices for a new Kymco.
Seems like it would be worth it to take the bus out and ride it home!
If I were a man of means.......I'd bring home all the red ones.

I was looking at these scoots. I was thinking of contacting the dealer to see if they are California legal or not.
A "motorcycle" must have over 7500 miles on it to bring it in from another state to be registered in California, unless it has the California emissions tag.
A federal tag is not enough. It sucks. There is a lot of protections for dealers from out of state imports built into vehicle sales here.
That is why they attempt to add several hundred dollars to the price of each bike.
Hell, I would take a ride to Minnesota to save a grand or so.

I didn't realize CA was that restrictive. Even though I don't need another scooter, I'd be really tempted at these prices to get the People or the Xciting at these prices.

I think pretty much every scoot sold in the USA is Cal Legal....since huge portion of all scoots sold here in States are to California and Florida.

Even if a new vehicle is EPA legal and CA legal, CA will not let it be registered. This keeps people from going somewhere else, like Oregon, where there is no sales tax and then driving in to CA to register said vehicle. It used to happen all the time until the 7500 mile rule: In essence, you can bring a used vehicle in and register it if it has the EPA certification. CA is just a money/ tax mongering WH--E, who wants to tax people to death. Born there and lived there 51 years.
