Ok, new here so please be gentle...
I am looking at the Kymco Pulsar 125 for my partner as she is 5ft ;D
Questions if anyone can answer please with links or pictures ...
When she did her CBT she was using this type of bike, so felt appropiate to get the same bike for her and work her way up...
So questions...
1. Is there any way to lower the seat or lower it a tad (shes on tip toe's)?
2. What to look out for this type of bike ie. leaks, linkages etc?
3. Mods that can be done (chain / sprockets) will be done at a later date
If anyone can help, would be most grateful
Thanks

No replies as of yet... ???
So anyway just brought the wee bike home (for my missus) hits about 58-60mph with just touching the Red on the Revs
So what sprockets and chain do I need for a bit more oomph or higher top speed?
Also the Neutral is a bit hard to get on this bike, can I fix this or just a normal thing?
Any other mods, upgrades I can do with pics or links on stuff
Thanks

The rider is a 5 foot female totally new to riding on 2 wheels.....on a bike that can do 58-60 mph.
A whole lot of us on this forum have traveled thousands of miles and ridden for a long time on a Kymco that does that speed, or less.
Why would you be seeking more speed for her? And so soon?

You havent really answered any of the questions asked....
Not soon, at a later date with sprocket mod. Just asking for info incase she asked for more power if she decides she needs that
So am I right in saying that the front sprocket should be 18T and rear to a 39T ?
Is neutral hard to get on anyone elses bike?
Any links to crash bungs/bars for the bike or useful info
Lower the seat or height?
Replaced some bolts and used loctite (threadlock) incase they become loose
Cut the bolt from the Kick Stand so it doesnt spring back when off the ground and amended it to cut out engine when in gear :D
Picture of the bike, high revs :-\

Also short clip on the bike , with a weird rattle noise from engine (revs high) any help please ???

No offence but your bike has 500km, and your talking about high revs and top speed. Let the bike break in. If you haven't adjusted the valves yet that could be your noise. As for sprockets, i don't think anyone here will know, not many pulsar owners.
-
How do I adjust the valves or is it garage?
-
You're kind of all over the place here.
Maybe you should get a service manual for the bike, this will give you a lot of information about the mechanics of it.
Also, I'm with Stig and am trying to wrap my head around getting a bike for a new rider that can go that fast when the rider of that bike cannot flat foot it. You should have done some shopping, had her sit on bikes and test ride if possible. This situation is a bad accident waiting to happen (or numerous drops in the best case scenario).

OK let me say, the speed isnt an issue as I stated it would be at a later date was just wanting info....
I thought this was a help forum, havent heard anyone giving any advice on the other questions that I asked
Just constantly going on about the speed issue :-\
All I was asking for is answers to the questions I asked, not do all of them tomorrow....
If you read what I wrote, you would see about the lowering seat part.
As the bike she did a lesson with on her CBT is the same bike I got for her
Which is lowered so was wanting to do the same with this one, as its the same bike >:(

Okay, deep breaths...as the song says..."be calm".
What we are offering is help, and advice from people who have MANY years of riding under our belts. You are not seeing the forest for the trees.
Again...service manual.
Oh, have you thought of asking the place where she took her lessons how/where they got the seat lowered?
-
the service log says 1 month or 1000km for its first check over, which includes valve adjustment if needed.
had mine a week with 200km under my belt... not had your noise yet..

AXY! I missed ya Bro! Will you be my BFF again?
Starting w/ the seat... You can take it off the bike, and bring it to any upholstery shop. Auto/Marine/Couches/whatever.
For well under 100.00 US they can remove some of the harder foam, and re-staple the seat.
(make sure you hit the solved button there)
Using the forum "search" you will also find a few dozen posts on how others remedied their scooter seat issues.
For the sprockets... The Kymco Venox just might have the same machining for mounting. Go to
www.kymcopartsmonster.com/ (http://www.kymcopartsmonster.com/)
See if the part numbers for either of the sprockets are the same between your bike, and the Venox.
If they are then the Venox does have some after-market sprockets available.
Again a quick forum search will guide you to the relevant posts for sources if you can not find them w/ Google Croatia.
If your not in Croatia then any old google will do.
I can swear you must either be Axy or live in the same region.
You posted , and asked us nicely to be kind. Within three posts you started yelling at us for attempting to help in our own ways.
Please don't take this offensively... This is the best forum I know of in the common guy scooter world. The members here are kind, and generous w/ their time but when riled up... These dogs bite.
Hopefully you will understand this is not one of those flame the new guy sites or just some random group of Ahole kids passing time waiting for someone to come in to play around with.
As suggested... Take a breath, pull up a chair, and sip a cocktail while you get accustomed to us.
You'll find everyone is here to help.
I am the ONLY one here for no other reason than to bust balls. Croatian right?

Created a new post as my partner has now been getting used to this bike and have tried the seat lowered but still a bit high.. as mentioned in new post.
