Title: Windshield for People 150
Post by: neuro on October 07, 2009, 12:54:51 AM
I've just purchased a used 2008 People 150.  The previous owner had a huge windshield on it, making it look like a floating bubble!  I'd like to find one much smaller; don't want the feeling of coming close to banging my nose in the windshield.  Any recommendations for a small windshield?
Thanks.

definately go with the Puig windshield.  About $125 at Kymcoaccessories.com.  There are other websites where you can find it as well. Here's what it looks like on a 2009 P150

I should also mention that the intallation is very easy, and as a side benefit, moves the mirrors slightly up and out.  Gives you a little better rearward vision.  Also, most importantly, the windshield itself work superbly, keeps the wind off me and seems to have given me a few extra mph.

Hey Smoke,

Love the windshield. I noticed your cupholder. I love it. I use one that hangs from the hanger thing in front and I get drink all over. Where did you get yours? Does it hold bigger (32oz) cups?

Thanks!

the cup holder is just a cheapy that I bought from Scooterworks.com.  Around $7.  I will definately NOT hold larger cups, barely holds a can of soda.  Also, you have to place it so that the bottom of the cup is supported as the suction cups don't do that great on the curved plastic of the scooter.

I had the Puig. Didn't care for it. Flimsy mounting and caused more wind noise than I cared for. Sold it and purchased the large windscreen for the People 150 from Scooterworks. The mounting system is rock solid and it also protects the hands from wind. I rode through the NYC winter thanks to this windscreen and a Scooter Skirt.
It doesn't look as bulbous as the picture shows. In my opinion it compliments the bike.

Mine didn't come with any instructions.  Can you guide me through it? Maybe post some pictures of the mounts?

Thanks,
