Hi. I recently did a 70cc bbk on my super 9 lc. I currently have a tecnigas next r pipe stock airbox and 100 main jet on the stock carb. I just bought the malossi phbg carb kit amd was wondering what jets to run, where to get the dellorto jets, and were i can possibly get a 19mm intake to go with the carb. Keep in mind i will be getting an open air filter and any help will be appreciated thanks

Wow. Still no reply?

See signature below for starting point. Racingplanetusa has jets and intake

Don't run open filter, you wont gain anything but fuel usage. Also the PHBG carbs come setup for 4t with the 4t atomizer, get yourself the 2t atomizer setup and jet it for that.

To clarify my settings are on a 4t atomizer. If you go 2t atomizer does MJ tend to go up or down?
Also if you want a 2t atomizer I believe its better to order through dell'ortos distributor bc they'll set up the carb for you. Otherwise you can get the malossi kit, which is nice because it has all the additional parts for mounting etc. Then pick up at 2t atomizer. Mopedarmy has a guide on how to install it

Yeah moped army has awesome tuning guide for the phbg carb. In my experience the main jet needs to be smaller after switching to the 2t tube. Less air being introduced = smaller jet.

Ok well ive heard of people modding air box for much wider hoses to increase air flow and giving more performance. What jets would u recommend for that?

Upjet and do plug chops. You can take the airbox restrictor out if you want

Depends on how much of the airbox you chop out and then isn't the filter being by passed. There is no chart for this much airbox chopped out = this size jet yet.

Well ive been waiting about 3 months for my gear set to come in. Thanks scooter parts international, btw not recommended, i have a k&n air filter that fits perfect i just wanna know what jets for sort of a range to work off of, and once you get to a certain size with the airbox hose its not really recieving anymore air so what would be recommended jetting for a malossi phbg 19mm on a super 9 lc 70cc with an open air filter i absolutely love the sound of the intake without the airbox

On 70cc kits I have run between 38-52 pilot jets, and 95-162 main jets. There is no way to guess.
Order a set of 5 jets for each circuit for ball park ideas 38/42/45/48/52 95/115/125/135/145. Start w/ the biggest idle jet, and try to run it at LESS THAN 1/4 throttle. Keep swapping pilot jets till you can get a decent idle at near 2 turns out on the mix screw, and the bike will roll up to 1/4 throttle.
Next the main... Same story Biggest to smallest.
After you dial in a fair running set you will know what real jets to order. I have pilots in steps of one, and mains in steps of two. To really tune it get a set of needles, and tune the mid range after you get the jetting done.
