Title: Agility 125 wont run
Post by: Davie200 on August 07, 2014, 10:27:41 PM
Looking for some help here. I have a 2011 Kymco Agility 125, cut out at traffic lights, good spark at plug, both fuses checked for continuity, fuel getting to cylinder, cam chain and valves as should be, but bike will not run, it tries its damnest to idle, but rough as, and generally you have to keep cranking it to keep it going, I have narrowed it down to what I think could be wrong either the Pulser coil (stator), or CDI. I have good mechanical awareness, so I quickly eliminated usual fuel related issues by stripping and cleaning carb.Seems peculiar but, spark looks good, but think spark timing may be issue, which I am sure is controlled by the pulser coil or CDI. I am wary of just ordering Stator and Pulser as they dont seem readily available in Glasgow. Can you change Pulser without removing flywheel does anyone know?
Has anyone else had experience of this issue, and a resolution, or are there other common faults that could be causing the problem.
Also a daft question, but the digital clock is not working, is it powered by the main scooter battery, or a separate battery.
Any useful feedback would be much appreciated.

How does it cut out? Only when you stop or you have a problem when you accelerate? Could you describe it more specifically? I had some similar issue but my problem was just too low idle speed.

Bike will turn over and has good spark, fuel is getting to carb, but engine will not run, it tries to idle if I hold starter button, but add throttle and it dies.
I have replaced spark plug and suppressor cap, cleaned carb as precaution.
I have just received a new CDI which I will fit and update post.
Still no joy with Digital clock tho if anyone has any ideas, I was wondering if it has its own battery source.

Check the valves to make sure they are sealing you will have to remove the head to do it. pour gas or water in to the intake side and the exhaust side make sure no liquid is coming through
