Title: Tires
Post by: arcanum70 on August 04, 2014, 07:24:49 PM
I'm sure it's been covered on here, but, I'm interested in knowing...What is your tire of choice?

I have (and absolutely love) Michelin City Grip's.  I have them front and back and they are great on both dry and wet roads.  If I had one complaint about them it is that they are so 'grippy' that sometimes they make me a bit over-confident.

I wanted to change the Maxxis on my GTI300 for a better rain tire. Michelin city grips were suggested to me. I put them on this spring and I am very pleased with them. My Maxxis only have 2000 miles on them and I'll let them go cheap. Anybody interested contact me.

Had Kendas on a small scoot.  Rode like a tank.  Got a nail in the rear one and put on a Pirelli.  Ride was smooth as budda.

I have a lot of friends in Europe that love their Pirelli's.

I was considering the City Grips (both front and back) when my current tires are due.

On my 500 I have Maxxis for both the front and back.  I'm not happy or unhappy with them although they seem to "flat" at times to me.  I check the pressure and that's fine.  I just can't put my finger on it but somehow I feel city grips are the way to go.

Put City Grips on my LIKE at 400 miles.
7000+ now and love them in the wet and dry.
Front looks like it could go 12000, rear maybe to 8500.
$110 for the pair, amazon.
