Title: exhaust upgrade

I have read a couple posts stating that after updating the exhaust on their ps250 they got an giant increase in performance and it sounds better than stock.  I am interested in pursuing this - if I can sneak 400 bucks past the guard wife.  Please post if you have info.  Who all makes one for the ps250?  How much?  Effects?  Ease of install?  Overall satisfaction after doing it.  How to sell the one you take off and what is its value (used or new).  And any other info that might be pertinent.

Unless you do MAJOR modifications to a 4 stroke engine exhaust changes are a waste of time and money . 2 stroke is an different story . Good luck .

Good luck finding a cheaper version. Most P250 pipes run $350-$400 bucks. Then you have to mess with the main jets. MRP claims theirs bolts on with no modifications. I've also seen an Xciting 250 with a White Brothers exhaust. But the header had a pipe welded to it to upsize it to fit the exhaust opening. Another option is to use a universal Supertrapp exhaust. They make a wide range of pipes with different diameter openings. Then by adding or removing the diffuser disks you can control the sound and backpressure. Its a pretty neat system.
