Have a 2012 super 8 150 . Has a no start problem . The shop says I need a CDI unit , have to wait a month for a part .
Any suggestions on what kind to purchase and what shops have you had, good customer service from . I am in the US . Should I do any other minor mods, since my scooter is down ?
Thanks for the suggestions James

If all you need is a new CDI, have you looked online for a new one. A month seems like a long wait for a basic part. You can probably get it online cheaper, and in less time. Changing it is a simple plug in connector.
Now, if it's still under warranty, and they're fixing it for free, then that's a different story. If it is a warranty fix, DON'T MODIFY ANYTHING until after they fix it. You never know what might cause them to try and refuse a claim.

Thanks dmblues . Not under warranty . It is in stock at the factory , two weeks delivery . Looking on e-bay , sounds like we need a dc unit . There are aftermarket ones , trying to figure out which ones will work . The ones on e-bay not sure of the quality .
Thanks James

Other than eBay, there are several parts sites that have been mentioned on here that should have the OEM part.
Just use the search function on here, and type in Kymco parts. It should point you towards other posts about parts suppliers.
