Title: Anyone in Italy?
Post by: TLRam1 on July 15, 2014, 06:59:40 AM
This company does not ship to the USA, looking for someone who can order a part and ship it to me. I can Paypal you the funds to purchase and ship the product.

What part are you looking for?

Windshield hardware kit, Givi A438A, it is small and this company will not ship to the USA. So simple to do through the postal service.

Does no other company carry the part? If it's a Givi part, I've seen Givi products sold on several sites in the U.S.

I am a Givi Dealer, these are not made any longer and Givi USA or Givi inc has none left. I bought the shield from Givi USA, does me little good w/o the hardware.

Maybe try Amazon or eBay. you can sometimes find old stock items for sale from individuals who just don't need them. Might get lucky.
I've found some pretty obscure, hard to find stuff there.

Zombie,

1. You must not have had your coffee yet.

because

2. "We're sorry but this product is currently out of stock."

3. I need the A438A, not the A358A

4. Thank you anyways for looking.

I had the coffee but the crack hadn't worn off yet. Re-reading the posts I get it now.

Maybe you can have these (brackets?) made for you local? Find out where Givi gets it kits from, and go direct?

I had a few CDI's made to MY specs from Sutai who makes Kymcos CDI's just by searching, and making a few calls.
There HAS to be a trail that leads to the manufacturer of the parts.

I bring all this up because I can't ever remember a forum member in Italy. Perhaps if you call/Email a few scooter dealers there you may get a little Pro courtesy. Send them some Stetson hats or something...

I emailed the first one to see how much shipping would be.

The second one wants 167 to ship to the USA, they will only use UPS IIRC, postal service would be relatively inexpensive.

The last one I emailed in May and they were out of stock, don't know why they leave it on their site.

Some places I email and they never responded.

Thanks again and if anyone could help, don't hold out on me.

I would look into some stainless rod from http://www.onlinemetals.com (http://www.onlinemetals.com) and whatever generic parts from other kits. I'd bet a good mechanic could build the kit in an hour or so.

Such a simple thing to be a PITA.
