Ha Ha Ha ...

Had to come home. One of my dogs got snake bit. Looks like a Pygmy rattler got him on the cheek. It must have happened during the night. So far he is ok except for the basketball sized head.
He's at the vet, and I am at the house. Looks like he's going to the island w/ me tonight.

Here ya go Chris...

A tall thin mountain woman walks up to the bar. She shoots her arm up into the air, and proclaims... I haven't  shaved an inch of my body in twenty years. these arm pits of mine will prove that. Is there anyone here man enough to buy me a drink, and take me home?

Drunk old fella at the bar says... Bar keep! Buy the ballerina a drink on me.

The gal drinks her drink, and says... How about another one for the road old timer.

Old fella says... Line em up for the ballerina, and me.

Bar tender says... Why do you keep calling her ballerina old fella?

Old fella... Cause anyone that can raise their leg that high has to be a ballerina.

Thanks for the well wishes. Love you guys!

LOL Zombie

Not sure how animals hold up to rattler bites. Not sure if they can use an anti venom or not. Hope he recovers well.

Without having seen the snake they cannot use anti-venom. It's only a guess what bit him.

Dr. Fullmer says that bites to the face are generally much better off than to the leg ect.. Just the fact he is alive shows that. He is in no pain, just salivating, and the right side of his head is double the size.

He'll be ok as long as the tissue does not begin dying. This is my Tough dog... Macinstein

Dog in hand, and back of to the Island. We spent today looking around for any trace of the snake but came up w/ nothing. Doc thinks it was a ground rattler or Pygmy rattler depending on where you live...

Steroids/antibiotics/anti inflammatory/morphine syringes/anti nausea meds. 285.47 Nice...

See ya in a few...

Poor dog, but sounds like he's doing fine.

Have fun, but watch out for those snakes. I hate having to walk through high grass that happen along some of my favorite fishing spots. I rather hike a bit or wade through the grass with a long stick.

I appreciate all the love guys/gal! It means the world to me.

Just got in, and have to say this was one of the best weeks of my life. (dog  issue excluded) He is actually 100% better already. The swelling is gone, and I can touch his bite spot w/ no discomfort to him.

I wound up in the middle of a dog fight myself, and got bit pretty badly. I thought my lower arm was fractured but that passed. It's my turn for the antibiotics... A stray dog on the Island came after Macinstein, and I (of course) had to be the "big shot" and rush into it.

The thing that made it all good is there is a local gal I have admired for quite some time... She was duly impressed at how I handled the dogs, and after the fur settled her nursing instincts kicked in. Funny how things happen for a reason eh...

Appreciate the love guys. It's good to be home ( w/ a new friend)

Already working on both!

Turns out I do have a fracture in the top of that carpel tunnel bone. Work was killing me today so a quick trip to the ER, and now I am a happy camper. Between me, and the dog we are running a dope house here. I'm a bit jealous tho... He got Morphine, and all I get is Percoset. I tried to trade w/ him but no dice, and I'm NOT taking another bite.

I hope your 4th was a bit less eventful.

Wash out? that sucks...

Well I'm sure just the change of atmosphere was refreshing. I had no clue how insane I was going before last week. You all know but I had no clue. Just sleeping somewhere other than home is all that is needed sometimes... Rain or shine

So true ! I spent three days (two weeks ago ) at Camp...just me and the dog . Necessary  and replenishing. I have spent many rainy days there just watching the rain, eagles fishing, etc. out the sliding glass doors.

Glad to hear your dog is healing , too .

He's fine. A bit of a limp from his fight... but the snake bite is done.

You know, I can't help but get overwhelmed at all the daily crap. It's the same old every frigin day. Even NEW things seem to have no shine sometimes. It always makes me wonder what can be changed to keep everything fresh, and as nice as watching animals, and the rain. Maybe it's human nature, maybe it's me.

For whatever reason coming here to the forum always picks me up tho. I look forward to seeing what you all are doing, and helping a few people get things right.

I just figured it all out.
There's not enough people helping, and I try all day every day to make up for them. It wears on a soul.
From what you posted up here I gather you have the same life style. Helping as many people as you can. EVERY FRIGGIN DAY.

For what it's worth Thanks!

Thanks to ALL you guys! There is a great group of people here, and all of you make the rest bearable

That is , in fact , what my life is about , Zombie.

I have been the Director Of Ice Skating Events for Maine Special Olympics( 6 years ) , Coached a Special Needs Hockey Team ( mostly Autism Spectrum and Downs' Syndrome ) , Volunteered as a Basic/then , Intermediate EMT , worked in Social Service/medical fields ( with severe Mental Retardation ) , Managed Group Homes(Special Needs ) , and am now working as a Psychiatric Technician-1 between a Psych and Medical Hospitals .

Other than Nature, animals and music  helping others makes my days worth all the B.S. the World tries to dish out .

Kudos to you and ALL who help others (human or otherwise ) !!!

Forgetting the political correct crap... I can't imagine a better time than a bunch of goof balls with sticks on ice. God blessed you Bluesin. You're on my Hero list.
Decompressing must be a monumental task for you.

I simply acquire things so I can give them to those who need them. Not a Robin Hood thing... I work HARD to get whatever someone else needs.
That's why I ride scooters, turned off the phone,ect... I can't afford all of us. Repairing/restoring/building boats is just a means to a better end.

I say this several times a week to those people that try to impress...
Life has NOTHING to do with what you acquire. It's all about what you can do to help the next guy so take your Porcshe, and show it to someone on your level. They might care. We don't!

LMFAO!!!
Your life must be a wonderland. I'm sure it's not all innocent fun but the high points must be incredible.

It's toooooo bad this roller coaster ride ends just as we get good at it. I can't imagine what could be accomplished if we just had more time.

Here's the biggest pet peeve I have. Wealthy MFr's that don't force change. Is it that they don't really get it?
Giving a sh** pile of money to people changes nothing. In fact it perpetuates the problems. Starting ANY sort of manufacturing facility be it Pizza or Computer parts creats JOBS. Jobs create income. Income feeds families.
All these MFr's OUTSOURCE! BUT they also give Millions to countries that can do nothing with it.
Remember the playground wells for Africa? Kids playing on the merry go round created the power to pump the water for the village. The KIDS then became the power. SLAVES! Forced to walk that friggin toy for hours while the bad dudes stole the water.
The solution was to abandon the project, stop supplying repair parts, and leave the villages WORSE off than when they started.

The solution is to build a factory/warehouse/whatever, and hire the people to make the proper equipment to become self sufficient. This kind of applies to the entire planet.

Rant done. I have to run...

Sorry you have to run...Pepto might help with that .

Yeah, I love my Roller Coaster Ride...Tickets are too expensive for most, but - I cut deals for people like me ( or you ) !

I agree about the money thing... Corporations do not help the people ...only their interests .

Good thing that there are still REAL people around...wish there were more  :'(

Have a great night !

I'm beginning to build a vision... There a a BUNCH of great people here. Power in numbers kind of thing.

I'm gonna have to stoke this for awhile... Maybe we can all dig a tunnel into Gates's money room, or a complex of tunnels, and get them all. Hmmmmm.

Pepto didn't help. It's too thick to snort.
