Title: 09 People 150 won't start
Post by: sorenboren on June 30, 2014, 03:17:18 AM
Any ideas would be very appreciated!

Been riding the scooter all summer with no problems.  Electric start has always worked.  Changed the oil a couple days ago and went to start it last night and everything is dead.  Can't get the lights on, no horn, no clicks or anything when i push the electric start, basically everything is dead.  I charged the battery and tried to jump it but still nothing.  Tried to kickstart and it won't even turn over.  Checked the battery fuse and ignition switch fuse and both look good but hard to tell if either one has been blown.  Wouldn't the break lights still work if the battery was good??  I'm not super mechanical savvy but can make my way around most things....

Any ideas before I break down and take it to a shop?

Will it kick start? Maybe you left the key in without realizing it, I've done that before.

Kill switch on or off?

If it's completely dead when you turn on the key, check for blown fuses. Had that issue on my scoot a while back.

Won't kickstart. Kill switch is off.  I'll try the fuses when I get a chance to pick some new ones up.  Thanks y'all for the ideas!
