Title: slipstream windshield
Post by: blackhawkfan on June 29, 2014, 09:42:45 AM
Anybody put a slipstream universal scooter windshield on their S8?  I've seen it mentioned being put on other Kymco bikes but not ours.  If so, which model did you choose and how do you like it.  Did you leave thd stock windshield on and just put this one behind it?  Does anyone use any other brand of windshield?  Does it help stabilize you when you're going along at high speeds to stabilize the bike?  Also, how high is the top of the windshield compared to your head?

I haven't seen any windshield options for the Supe. And I've been looking since the stock one it mostly for show, and doesn't do squat!
I imagine if you remove the stock one, then a universal windscreen will work. But then you have the stock mounting holes visible.
I would have thought, since the Super 8 has been around for several years now, that someone would have designed an aftermarket windscreen to replace the stock one. Unfortunately, I haven't found one anywhere. If anyone has found one, I wouldn't mind getting one myself.

Hello, check out Columbia Scooters in Portland OR. They have a Puig model that is made for the Agility but they say it will also fit Super 8s as well.

Thanks Blue. I may try that out. I cracked one of the mounts on my stock one and need to replace it anyway. Might as well go for an upgrade while I'm at it.  8)
