Does anyone make engine mods or derestrict any scoots larger then a 50cc? I may have asked this before, I can't recall.
But if not, why not? If you can make a 30 mph bike go 45 why not make a 55 mph bike go 70?

I have modified every engine I have ever owned. (almost)
The best thing you can do to any engine is increase the air/fuel intake, and outflow.
To use this new found fuel increase the Ign voltage. There are PLENTY of hi performance Ign coils around (40,000 + volts).
It doesn't always have to be bigger. Just better.

I'm not looking to mod my scoot, she sounds like she's reached her limit at top end anyway. I thinkif she were to rev any higher she's shake herself to pieces.
Just wondering why I don't often if at all hear about members moding a 200.

The bject in modding isn't always chasing more rpm's. The important thing for us is torque. Top speed for most of the larger scooters is more than acceptable for most of us but getting there quicker is always a plus.
Open up the air boxes, upjet or step up the injector, and open up the exhaust, or bypass the EGR systems.
That will get the puppy breathing.
HPI or Accell or any number of suppliers make coils to light it all up. You can even use a coil pack form a Chevy Camaro or a Ford Mustang. Maybe 3 extra HP, and an equal torque increase for well under 100.00 bucks.
