Added a small extra gas tank just for back up..

Blue Brother... I love ya, and can't watch as you blow your ass to Newark.

If you put a lid on that box you now have a pretty stout bomb. You could modify the cap on the jug to accept a fuel line type hose, and direct it out of the box thru a new hole. The last thing you want is a box full of fuel vapor right up against your back.

Isn't this similar to just carrying a small bottle of gas with you in the scooter ?

Yes sir it is.
That's also a poor practice if carried in a enclosed space.

Lol guys. I have holes in the bottom and the side and top of box.plenty of air for the tank to breath.
