How many miles are required before performance improves? I'm right at 60 miles now and everything seems a little tight.
Thanks in advance for your feedback!

the owner's manual give a rough break-down on break in period.
Personally, I think the first 1000 miles is all part of break in. I changed the oil and gear lube every 200 miles during that period, and then switched to synthetic oil at 1200 miles.
I'm at 1500 miles now, and she runs like a champ!
Just remember, It's a Super 8 150! It's NOT a highway cruiser!!
If you're wanting to cruise at 60+ mph on the highway, you have the wrong scooter!
Between 35-50 mph is where this scoot's comfort zone is. It will go a little more than that, but it will beg for mercy relatively quick!
But, I'm 230 lbs, so mine has to work a little harder. If you are significantly lighter than me, you may get a little more out of it.

What brand/weight you using.
BTW we are neck and neck on miles. Mines just shy of 1300 too.

I switched to Rotella full synthetic 5w-40. Been running smooth and happy since the change. Starts a lot easier on cool mornings too.
And the Rotella synthetic is cheaper than the Valvoline motorcycle oil I was using during break in. (Plus, I work at a Walmart, so I can buy it for 10% off) ;D
And it's actually rated for use in all combustion engines. Diesel, gasoline, and even motorcycle engines!
