Went to go for a ride and battery was dead. Just got it out of shop last month , as it would not charge most of Winter. They said the fuse in pigtail had blown/replaced it /charged battery and it has been fine since. Used it last Tuesday , put it in shed and tried it this A.M. .
Going to have to have them check EVERYTHING when it goes in for service!!
At least they treat me well and don't charge me ( even when fault is blown fuse ) and they are only 4 miles away and my roadside assistance will haul it free ( up to 6 times a year ) due to being less than 5 miles .
Blue(s) Sunday until it charges enough to go for ride.
Oh, well ... time to put in bedroom A/C ( needed when one has to try to sleep during the day on work days ) .

I DID, in fact, take a vacation. Down to help Dad with last minute things to get Camp fully open/cook his Fathers' Day meal...then just me and my dog , there, for the next three days ( watching the eagles,herons, loons ,etc. ) . Good ole oeace and serenity.

Take the Scoot down and sit on the hill to watch the stage, rather than spend hundreds to enter venue and deal with drunks and all their beer cups littering the grounds/standing elbow-to-elbow. We walk the paths lining the waterfront and listen as we enjoy the scenery .

I miss alot of things up north.
Things like real lakes with cold water, getting lost in the mountains, animals that are actually cute.
I agree w/ you on the music deal too. Most of what I grew up with is on the Never Again list. I do however have a thing for goofy covers of some of the old stuff. I also knew the Bluesin album, and had your genre pegged. Never figured ya for a Dead Head tho... I always hated the Dead, and well basically Hippies. I won't even get into that one tho... There is not enough band width, or keys on my keyboard to even get started.

Ditch dawgs are the closest your gonna get. We have ditches along all the roads here for drainage, and after it rains you see dozens of people out collecting Crawfish (ditch dawgs) along the sides of the roads.
The last time I was at Publix the Maine Lobster was 18.99 a pound. When I left N.Y. they were 3.99 at the dock.

You really can't beat either one. Lobster w/ butter, and lemon or Crawfish w/ Old Bay seasoning. I could live on Crawfish, Collard greens, and an icy pitcher of beer.
Simple stuff. All you gotta do is boil some water.
How about Blue Crab?? The best food I've ever eaten. Now I'm hungry...

Lobsters by the box (W-Slinger) up here ! Paid $3.44/lb. last year (cheaper than gas ) !
Used to go Bullfroggin'(jacked 'em w/flashlight or used red flannel and baseball bat ) with my Grandfather . Did a LOT of outdoor stuff with him and my Dad back in Michigan ! (Thus my TomBoy ways ;) ) .
King DOES rock!! Quite the philanthropist, as well . Has kind of a childish sense of humor, though . Put many a 14 gauge needle in his arm and 'sucked' a pint of blood every time he came in to donate at American Red Cross Blood Services when I worked there . He used to tease me about being a 'Yooper '
Ate clod water crayfish in Michigan. Love ANY greens ( including Collard ) . Go foraging for ramps,cat tails, morels, etc. .
Z- I did not like The Dead until I saw them live . Like lots of bands that play more than 3 chords and are eclectic/change up the song a lot . Love bands that utilize many instruments ( The Who,Jethro Tull,Beatles, etc. ) and horns ( think Little Feat ) .
Yep... time with Dad ( and G-Father when he was still alive ) are/were precious!!

I did just think of one possible advantage tho. A floating short stop gal on the fast pitch frog ball league I could just close my eyes, and not watch it happen. Hell imagine an all girl team that floated... That's freaking me out. I went too far this time. Gotta lock the windows.

We have those Brown Recluse bastards here. I'm right on the edge of the Apalachicola National Forest, and Tates Hell.
There are dozens of people that live here that bear permanent disfigurements from them.

I have a female B. Widow that lives in a plant in the living room. They are not so bad. Actually they are much milder than a wasp r a hornet sting. She's cool.
It's all the others that get me... We have Pine spiders as big as your hand, and Garden spiders that make webs in the power lines, and actually catch/eat small birds. One night I heard what sounded like one of the dogs dragging it's chain around the living room, and it was a F'n garden spider running around the walls, and across the TV screen. I could hear the F'r two rooms away!

Sweat shop sounds like a good idea . I can get blackflies ( unlimited amounts here ) to feed them at no cost . Have to let a few breed to keep the workforce going ... others CAN be used for ping pong balls. Maybe we can start an International league and trade workers ?

Dealer said battery checked out ( and everything associated with it.
No mention of spiders, but- the first technician got mysteriously ill and had to leave(may have died from something? ) .
3000 mile servicing (3600 on bike ) done, as well .
Put 3 Amp fuse in lighter socket ( replaced .08 fuse) ... hoping I can run GPS/MP3,etc. without blowing fuse .
