At $79.00 they are not GoPro brand.
That said I put a emerson 49.99 action cam on the kids bike bike and it does pretty good. It's no GoPro but the kid will kill it within the year and I save a couple of hundred bucks.

That camera seems to work fine.
Did the helmet mounting hardware come with the camera?.
-
It comes with a few mounts.
A little 3m double sided tape and I've put it on helmets and the bike. The stuff is strong. It also can be removed without harm to the surface.

So school me, what is the recording time on a $50 unit and how easy is it to hook up to a tv or CPU for viewing?
Thanks in advance,

I gotta tell ya the damn thing is easy to use. USB to charge and hook up to download or just pop out the micro sd card, not included. It's got a screen on it, my GoPros don't. No remotes or the like. Bare bones. Inexpensive ,cheap, plastic construction.
Oh the original question about an hour on HD.
The quality is what it is. Great on bicycles and inshore fishing. Ok for faster stuff. I find the waterproof case causes some wobble like distortion.
You get what you pay for. I've lost a few GoPros over the years and at almost 300.00 a pop now it hurts. So for non critical stuff it's ok.

I have a Polaroid XS100 action camera, and it's fantastic.
This was the first video I ever took - the first test run:
