Title: 2010 Super 8 won't start

Just bought a 2010 Super 8.  It ran when I first got it now I can't get it to start.  Electric start won't work, neither will kick start. Put a new gel battery in and electric start still won't work.  Shorted across the starter relay and scooter started after cranking a little.  Scooter floods out after using the kick start 3 or 4 times.  Any ideas, bad CDI, starter, starter relay, auto-bypass...not sure what to do.  Thanks

Is the emergency off switch on the right grip in the run position?

Yes.  I switched it off and on a couple of times just to make sure it wasn't a contact issue.
