Title: Seafoam
Post by: DeKing on May 22, 2014, 09:32:21 PM
I'm brand new to this site and I have read many posts that mention Seafoam as a gas treatment to counteract the effects of ethanol gas. I had never heard of this product so I'm interested. Where do I get this? Is it available a most auto parts stores? Thanks for helping a newbee get started.

Available at most auto parts stores.  I add about 1.5 ounces to the gas tank about every fourth or fifth fill-up and my P150 runs great.

Seafoam is good and has the added benefit of preserving the gasoline if you plan to store the gas for a while.
Techron is a much newer type of fuel system cleaner that is entirely different from Seafoam.
B12 is similar to Seafoam (but no preservative0 and cost the least.

We tend to use all three in a rotating basic a few times each year.

It takes about 3 tanks of gas with additive to have much effect.

Scoot safely,
