Title: The Housing/Sock around the Carb ?

Hello guys!

Long time since last and now I wondering about the ugly housing/sock or what it's called, the one that sits over the carb, do you guys take it off?

Are you asking about the air filter/box?

He means the thin flexible rubber boot that covers the carb and automatic choke. It gets in the way of removing the carb and is tricky to put back in place. Its  also easy to tear or rip.
