Title: Remove the bolt from the exhaust ?
Post by: Chris0381 on May 12, 2014, 01:18:04 PM
On the back of the exhaust there is a shiny bolt. I read thru the threads that some people remove is as part of a minor derestriction. A lot of the threads though on the forum just end with no one posting back the results or conclusions and kinda leave the thread hanging.

So may I ask if its good to remove that bolt as part of the derestriction?

TY

Hello Chris,
I believe I read that the bolt is a location that the tech's use to connect diagnostic equipment to at the dealership.
Good luck !

It wont de-restrict anything. It will make it sound like a plastic Big Wheel heading down hill tho.

I've drilled six 3/8" holes around the back plate, and ground off the tiny outlet tube on 1/2 dozen bikes, and that sounds pretty cool. No performance upgrade tho.
