had to change the low beams the conections where bad, so I ordered new HID light kit from my local dealer $80.00,.
took the front end off again and installed the new lights and all the wires and that stopped the flickering of lights, and I can see again,.
-
Can you show what you bought? I'm sure someone wants to know what works.

I bought the HID lights from Derand .com paid $80.00 name on box and instructions are , HID lamp type
6000K H11 bulb it has the same base as H8 and it is 35 watts,. the first set I bought was from HID country two years ago, and the wires and connections died, metal termites set in,. I was losing the lights with every bump ,. should have put some dielectric grease on them,.

Or get an aardvark.

they look like my first set, they worked well until rust got in them so put dielectric grease on every plug in,. and it does not seem to be much differance with the expencive ones as far as looks ,. thats why I bought them from my dealer who happens to install them proffesionaly for the last 10 years,. in all cars and trucks, don

WOW $80?!?!?! Everyone should go check out DDMtuning.com awesome HID kids that last and they have a LIFETIME WARRANTY ON EVERY COMPONENT!!!!!! A single bulb with hi/low kit runs about $55 plus shipping!!!! They have all temps and offer 35w and 55w setups. I have the 55w setup on my B&W250 and high beam shines for about two miles down the freeway. I would not recommend doing 55w on any 150-200cc scooter but the 250cc stator has like 15 poles so even at idle im charging over 13v. I will say doing led running lights and tail light helps vastly with charging issues after doing HID conversion, cheers.

thanks guys,
that was my next question, 35w or 55w? there is not a lot of difference price wise!
cheers,
Don.

What do you guys think of Daniel Stern's article on halogen to HID conversions (http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/bulbs/Hid/conversions/conversions.html)?

very interesting, its opened a big can of worms!! I might have to rethink but only after some further reading ;D ;D
