Title: water pump leaking

Rode 2009 X500, still LOVE it. :). Noticed coolant drops on garage floor, found weep hole leaking...
Ordered pump from local dealer, 3 days later it arrived and I installed it in less than 1hr. 8). 
Put "ENGINE ICE" in cooling system...didn't notice any REAL change in engine temp. gauge still reads 1/2 mark...
should I be concerned?  Thought about looking into the 700...WIFE WOULD KILL ME!!!! Happy WIFE, Happy LIFE  ;)
