Post by: Stig / Major Tom on April 26, 2014, 02:46:47 PM
Caught out by a storm front this morning. Was not supposed to rain....not even the Stig gets up at 0'Dark:30 to ride in the rain on his day off! Well, OK...sometimes - but not today! 8)

I psyching myself up for some wet riding. It's supposed to storm and rain for about five days straight here, and I have to ride to work and back for three of them.

YIPPY!!!!!   :)

I give my face sheild a good waxing with RainCoat the night before each rain ride. The stuff works pretty good, but not as good as RainX on cars - and seems to need renewing for each rain ride. Wonder why we can't use RainX on our helmet face sheilds? Harm the plastic, or?

Reminds me of the old song by The Doors, "Riders on the Storm"

Nice.
When ever I need to post a quote online, I use Jim Morrison.

"I don't know about you man but I'm gonna get my kicks before the whole sh**house goes up in flames."

Someone told me once that rainx is specially formulated to work ONLY on glass. I've heard that on plastics, it can cause a cloudy finish and won't clear up. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but I don't want to be the moron who ruins his faceshield trying to find out.

Wow, ten consecutive days of rain? Why can't Las Vegas, Nevada have this. We need Lake Mead to get filled up to get us out of this drought. You are so lucky. Send some of it here to us. ;D

Got caught in a downpour once. I'm a fair weather gal. Took two days for my gear to dry out. I admire the fortitude of the commuter scooter.
