Hey everyone, I was trying to remove the bar ends on my Like today and after I removed the bolt I could not get the inner core out. I almost bought a set of gold anadized bar ends but could not remove the core. I'm sure it comes out but can't seem to get it to move at all. Is there a set screw or something? Any help would be fantastic.
Thanks and ride safe, mscmkr

Can you use the original bar end bolts on the new bar ends? ThAt's what I did with some bAr end mirrors and it worked well.

Try backing out the bolt a few threads the smacking the head with a hammer to shift the part the bolt threads into. Use a punch that fits into the "socket" of the Allen head of the bolt so not to damage the head. Use a phillips bit and whack that if it is a phillips head screw. You get the idea.

What Karl said! Plus one.
I have run across a few scoots that also have a welded in nut on a backing plate. I am not sure if this is the case w/ your bike or not. If it is a center punch or roll pin punch can be used to knock that plate/nut out. I've had to resort to Vice Grips once or twice to get the OEM ends out. Not pretty put I don't like to give up.
