Im curious what you guys are up/hobbies when not messing around with scooters!
What other hobbies do you guys have??
I myself am a baseball fan as stated on the other thread. I follow the Orioles and am pumped for opening day against the BoSox this
monday 3/31/14. I have already take off of work :)
When Im not at my job a whole hour and a half away (US Gov, Alexandria VA) you can find me taking Italian classes in Little Italy (Baltimore), homebrewing (Ive done a couple wheat beers and a milk stout), playing the geetar, or keeping my physics up to date (Major in college). I also still volunteer to help my fraternity from college (about 15 mins away).
How about y'all???

I collect knives, collect wrist watches, love to watch movies on my home theater, and I love to cook when not working.
I work for an importer and distributor of car/motorcycle accessories and car care products...

Ah I forgot my love to cook as well! I make a mean set of ribs and am pretty good with pastas!

Photography keeps me sane. I am a Band Director at a local Arts Charter school, and I'm also lucky enough to teach a Photography class as well. I wish I could retire (4 more years...) and teach just Photo and Scooter 101! :D
-
I love to go hiking and try new pizza joints here in Vegas Baby!! I am also a New York Mets baseball fan as well as a New York Giants football fan. 8)

I have several interest outside of my joy of scooters. They are in no particular order:
Fly fishing (fly tying, rod building, furled leaders) birdwatching, toy steam engines (mainly Jensens) and table top stirling engines, photography, z scale electric trains, and BBQ/grilling. The trains are currently in storage until my son gets a little older.
Oh and just in case the wife ever reads this, my main interests are my wife and kids. ;D

When you come out here you can check out the two new waterparks Vegas has. We have Wet N Wild on the west side(not the same one that was on the Las Vegas Strip through 2004) and Cowabunga Bay in Henderson. The one in Henderson is more or less for us locals. June is not bad before we experience the monsoon season in July and August.

Cooking, thrift shopping or garage sales, golf and spending time with friends and family.
You should try an oatmeal stout. So good but man it'll pack the pounds on.

My first love is Boating, current rig is 186 SeaHunt DC W F115 Yamaha pwr, great around the bay and gets me as far off shore as I am comfortable with, zomming out the Little Egg Harbor inlet is a blast.
Needless to say, fishing comes in on my hobby list too.
I learned to cook from Mom at 11, and have loved it ever since.
More recently I bought a drop top and enjoy heading to the shore in it, top down, radio on!
Well thos top my list but lately the most enjoyable thing is spending time with my girls, doesn't matter if we're island hopping in the boat, or hiking in the woods, it's all good times.
Now I have to ask, since when does a Luigi say Ya'll?

Let's see.. I guess I'm a collector who uses his collections..
I've accumulated 7 motorcycles/scooters and I truly love riding.. Anything from local wandering on my little People 50 to cross country touring on my BMW R1200GS, and various bikes in between.. A typical riding day for me is 3-400 miles or more, and I really enjoy just seeing different towns, attractions and locations. I have a group of friends who enjoy the same, and we tend to wander most weekends when the weather's above freezing..
And since I was 5, I've been an avid shooter/hunter/collector of firearms. I have a large collection of vintage war rifles, most purchased from the US Government through the Civilian Marksmanship Program. I partake in a lot of shooting competitions, using everything from a Swedish Mauser, manufactured in 1900 to modern AR15 variants. I also shoot a lot of .22 Silhouette matches which are shooting small steel targets, off hand, at 40, 60, 77 and 100 meters.
Because I only hunt what I enjoy eating, I limit my hunting to various small game and whitetail deer.
I also enjoy fishing, mostly trout, and like the fact that I've combined motorcycling and trout fishing for the last 10 or so years..
And something I've always combined, is camping and motorcycles. I frequent several BMW and MotoGuzzi Rallies during the summer.. Usually camping with friends, and always making more, they're a great weekend party!! And for those who think they're wild and crazy, unfortunately they're quiet gatherings of friends.. Drinking a few beers and laughing around campfires.. The rallies tend to be around 200-400 or so people, and food and camping are included in the modest rally fee.. :)
Here's some of my campsites over the years..

I'd be interested in an article from you about the how-to's of motorcycle camping. Please. ;D I like to camp and never seem to do enough but if I knew minimalistic camping from a scooter, that may be something to add a twist and try.

Can, and will do.. I've tent camped for years, and this year I'm trying something different and have purchased gear to camp in a hammock. I'll write up something on tent camping, and I'll be using the hammock at the IL Moto Guzzi rally and will write up something on how that goes. :)
With my Helix and a 40L top box, I end up with space left over, and I'm sleeping on a 6" thick twin air mattress.

After moving to Colorado 2 years ago, we bought a trailer and camp as much as we can. This year we added kayaks & scooters to our outdoor hobbies. I am also a vigil volunteer for Hospice. Photography has always been a passion of mine, and we're in the perfect state for that! (imho)
