I was not paying full attention and did not notice the screen fell into catch jar until having oil recycled. Out of the eight of so oil changes I have done there has never been any debris in the filter screen. Would it be OK to run without until next change is due?

What does the oil cost for you to do an oil change ?
My GV 250 takes 1 qt of oil, so that is less than $5.
Pretty cheap for some months of easy sleep.
scoot safely,

The strainer only catches big stuff. I suspect you will be just fine, unless your scooter is on its last legs and starts to spit out metal. I would replace the strainer at the next oil change.

Did you ever watch Red Green do an oil change on a car?
I saw him do it 2 different ways: roll the car over and dump the oil out the fill cap, or pry out the engine and turn the engine over to dump the oil out the fill cap.
So....there you go. 2 options. You can replace that screen -- while keeping your oil in the engine. And sleep nights.
R.G. would be proud of you!
