Has anyone dealt with this vendor before? I never got around to getting my front panel alumuimum floor boards. My scooter is in storage at the dealer and they only had the rear in stock. They informed me that Kymco discontinued the front flloor panels. After asking around I found this vendor online and they said that they were going to order the parts from Kymco - interestingly, I only get a generic email response. I do not get an email with a person's specific name, phone number, nothing and of course this raises a red flag for me.
Wanted to see if anyone else heard of them and/or have dealt with them before. Almost time to bring the scooters out:-)))

Kymcopartsonline is for real, but they also cook with the SAME water. So, do not expect parts that others can't deliver, they are not able to do magic.
Even though they have delivered to me in the past, others were apparently not so lucky; see following

My best experience is through a close by Authorized Kymco Dealer in driving distance who orders the part for me right there from the US distributor and I pick it usually up within 4 to 10 days.

I found out from my local Kymco dealer that they discontinued the diamond plate front panels. A welder from of mine has moved out of state so I'll continue to look elsewhere for the floorboards.
Spring is in 24 hours!:-))

Yes,
It is very fly by night (but almost all scooter parts / retail seems to be a real (bad) joke to me). I can drive there from San Diego it is about 1.5 hrs. I ordered a two oem parts and one was correct and the other was wrong. It took 6 weeks to straighten out but eventually, the guy sent me the correct part and a box for me to return the incorrect part with the shipping paid.
I'm between a rock (Kymco Parts Online) and had hard place (My local dealer which is back to being an Kymco parts dealer?). This time when I needed rear brake pads I went with my local dealer because they had the parts in stock and I didn't want to end up with the wrong parts again. But, I paid a heafty price - my local dealer marked the price up 50% over the standard retail list price bring the total with tax to almost $50 for rear brake pads!
The moral of the story? You pay one way or the other. Regarding the parts being in stock.... The ultimate was JC Whitney - there definition of "in stock" is the raw materials are in the ground in china! lol. I considered buying a replacement OEM exhaust and I asked. He said the warehouse central warehouse had 10? in stock. I asked if he could call them to confirm the ship time and verify inventory. He did but the time span was up to 3 or 4 weeks before I would receive the part.
As I recall the guy I spoke with was knowledgeable but seems to do this part time. So I say go for it but put a reminder in your calendar to check for an order update each week. Pay with a credit card (ideally not paypal) so you have the power to file a charge back if it becomes necessary. I file charge backs but only as a last resort - I work with the vendor first and I'm flexible.

Renee, if you can't get them you could always go to a metal shop and have them cut some aluminum or stainless steel diamond plate in the correct shape and glue them on with silicone. The stock rubber mat could be used as a template.

Rudolf, did you rebuild your motor and if so why? Just wondering. I sometimes think that maybe I would get a kit with a piston and the upper jug to increase the motor to 300cc. Did you consider an after-market kit?
Do you live in Romania right now? Are scooters popular there?

I've repaired the engine because it was the timing chain was worn and rattling at idle.

Also it guzzled oil like hell, and found out that the piston was seized at one time, and the cylinder was really scratched. Probably the previous owner didn't check the oil level...

I do live in Romania. Scooters have become rare after they've introduced mandatory driver's license even for the smallest mopeds. AM category license for scooter under 50cc. I have considered buying a 300 cc kit but can't afford-it at the moment. Membership ranks are defined automatically by the number of posts.

That is too bad. So much cheaper than owning a car and easy to park.
