Title: Pet Blessings.

How about your blessings!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll start:

I thank GOD for being saved.

I'm blessed to be relatively healthy and for healthy, beautiful and smart kid's and grandkid's.

I'm so blessed to have had a good life and a wonderful and supportive family.

I'm so blessed to still be in love with my wife of 40 years, that has made life grand!

I'm blessed to have had some very good jobs that provided a very good living.

I'm blessed to have another family business that keeps the family busy and working together.

I'm blessed to have and have had in the past, lots of scooters and bikes to enjoy.

I'm blessed to live in a country that the poorest person is 'richer' than 95% of the people in the world.

I'm blessed to live in a free country and democracy where all are equal.

I'm blessed to have many Church brother's and sister's to worship freely with.

I'm blessed to have been able to travel all over the United States for business very frequently.

I'm blessed for a day like today when although cold (18 degree's) I can breathe good clean air and enjoy the blue skies and bright sunlight.

Being blessed at recovering from being a hopless, stinking drunk.

Finally understanding that everything happens for a reason (even if I don't understand it)

My wife and kids make me a better person than I know how. They are doing the Lord's work...on me!

{by the way, a bit of info about Richard Farina, the fellow who wrote the book, "Been down so long...." :
On April 30, 1966, two days after the publication of his book, FariÃ±a attended a book-signing ceremony at a Carmel Valley Village bookstore. Later that day, while at a party, he saw a guest with a motorcycle and went for a ride up Carmel Valley Road east toward Cachagua on the back of the motorcycle. At an S-turnâ€”coincidentally, just above the place on the Carmel River where John Steinbeck set the frog hunt that the Cannery Row denizens perform in the novel Cannery Rowâ€”the driver lost control. The motorcycle flopped on one side on the right side of the road, came back to the other side and tore through a barbed wire fence into a field where there is now a small vineyard. The driver survived, but FariÃ±a was killed instantly. The Triumph Bonneville was doing about 90 mph going into the 30mph curve.
Farina was married to Joan Baez's little sister.

Post by: Porkie on March 05, 2014, 01:08:20 PM: That is really a shame. Many times rider's will try to 'impress' non-rider's by going fast and riding on the edge. This is a good way to insure that the person (If they survive) will never feel comfortable on a bike in the future.

I'm blessed that in over 50 years of riding that the only place I've crashed is on sanctioned tracks in competition 'dirt' events! Thank the LORD and knock on wood!
